Veterinarians
Dr. Carolyn Fisher is a lifelong Rochester native and a longtime member of the Suburban Animal Hospital team. She grew up in Chili and graduated from Churchville-Chili High School. Dr. Fisher then obtained her B.S. in Biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1993. It was during this time that she first was employed at Suburban Animal Hospital as an animal care assistant.
Following her studies at SUNY Geneseo, Dr. Fisher went on to the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. While she was there she was employed in the clinical pathology laboratory and active in several student organizations. Dr. Fisher was awarded her D.V.M. degree in 1997.
Dr. Fisher returned to Suburban Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian after graduation. She enjoys practicing all aspects of general medicine and surgery. Dr. Fisher particularly likes the variety and challenges that veterinary medicine brings. In 2004 she became the director of Suburban Animal Hospital.
Dr. Fisher spends most of her free time at home with her family. She also enjoys playing the flute, gardening, and reading. They share their household with four pets. These include Zoey, a coonhound, Al, a standard poodle, and two cats named Fozzy and Sebastian.
