Veterinarians
Dr. Kathleen Hall has been a veterinarian with Monroe Veterinary Associates since 1985, and at Suburban Animal Hospital since 1988. She is originally from Connecticut, and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell in 1981, and her D.V.M. degree from Cornell in 1984. She enjoyed a year as an exchange student to the University of Reading, England, in a physiology and biochemistry program from 1979-1980. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery in 1984-1985 at New Haven Central Hospital after graduating from veterinary college.
Dr. Hall is a general veterinary practitioner, enjoying conventional veterinary medicine and surgery. She also has a special interest in herbal medicine and acupuncture. She is a member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture (1999, IVAS) and also certified in traditional Chinese herbal medicine (Chi Institute and the China National Society, 2000-2001). She greatly enjoyed working as a teaching assistant for the basic veterinary small animal acupuncture course at the Ci Institute in 2001-2002. Dr. Hall is an integrative practitioner, believing strongly in good, conventional medical workups for her patients, and then addressing pets needs with a combination of conventional and alternative therapies.
Dr. Hall has 4 pets, a Boxer named Phoebe, and 3 cats, Fluffy, Zippy, and Merry. She enjoys the outdoors and time with her family.
